More Options for Haiti Relief

If you’re thinking about donating to disaster relief in Haiti but are afraid of choosing an organization that won’t directly funnel your money straight to Haiti here are some valid options.

First, our own North American Baptist Conference recently sent us the following,

Two years ago the North American Baptist Conference joined with several other Christian organizations to form the NAB Disaster Relief Network. In conjunction with the Baptist World Alliance, we are collecting and distributing disaster relief funds for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Thank you in advance for praying and responding with a heart of generosity at a time when the needs are yet incalculable.

This week every NAB church can be involved. Pray for Haiti (the leaders, the injured, the grieving), and pray for the disaster workers in their ongoing relief efforts. Donate funds to our Disaster Response where all of the work is done in the name of Christ. Pray that the gospel will be received as great news to a hurting people (53% of the Chinese who viewed the Jesus film in the weeks after the Sichuan earthquake responded to follow Jesus).

Your needed gift to our Disaster Relief fund will:

1. Provide desperately needed assistance to church members in Haiti (works started by NAB pastors and church planters)
2. Help our Florida Regional Minister and his team as they are directly involved in the distribution of funds and services in Haiti
3. Allow direct, on the ground response through the NAB Disaster Relief Network and through Baptist World Aid

You can respond financially by giving on-line at, or mail your contributions to the following addresses:
