In case you didn’t know, every book on CVCC’s resource table (conveniently located in the foyer) is absolutely free for the taking. The CVCC resource table motto is:
If You Want It – Take It
If You Like It – Keep It
Really Like It – Share It
Done With It – Return It
The newest addition to the Resource Table is Paul David Tripp’s,
“What Did You Expect? Redeeming the Realities of Marriage“
I’ve been reading it in my spare time (so I’m still in the preface) but what I’ve learned about Paul Tripp is that he has a gift for exposing and confronting the heart of our issues in every sphere of life. I would highly, highly recommend reading anything Paul Tripp writes then enthusiastically passing it on for the next person to enjoy.
It will be on the Resource Table for a limited time and is currently 34% off at the Westminster Bookstore online.
On marriage I would also recommend John Piper’s,
“This Momentary Marriage”
This is the best book I’ve read on marriage, period. Sure, my experience is limited, but I have a hard time imagining anyone so succinctly, biblically, and profoundly capturing what is central to Christian marriage as Piper does in this book.
It is available for $6.49 or as a free .pdf download at the Desiring God website HERE.
